How do you play Starting 5 Trivia?
Five NBA players are on the floor. Each question describes one of them. Pick that player before the 10 second shot clock hits zero. There are 12 questions, three in each of four quarters. You play once per day.
Starting 5 Trivia is a free daily NBA trivia game. Five players are on the floor. Twelve questions run across four quarters. You pick the player the question describes before a 10 second shot clock expires. One game a day, about a minute, no account required.
The five players stay for the whole game. Each quarter has three questions. You play once. The day is a UTC day: the same game, for every player, from midnight UTC until the next midnight. A miss does not show the correct player. Neither does a timeout.
The clock is 10 seconds. A correct answer with at least 7 seconds left scores 3 points. With 4, 5, or 6 seconds left it scores 2. With fewer than 4 seconds left it scores 1. The 4th quarter doubles those values to 6, 4, and 2. Sweep a quarter, three for three, and you add 1 bonus point in the first three quarters or 2 bonus points in the fourth.
Your score joins the daily leaderboard. Order is points, then field-goal percentage, then average response time, then earliest submission. The top 20 earn season score once the day closes, 20 points for first down to 1 for 20th.
This is multiple choice trivia. It is not a lineup guessing game, and it does not ask you to name a team's starting five.

10 seconds per question. The clock is the score. A correct answer with at least 7 seconds left is worth 3 points, 4 to 6 seconds left is worth 2, and fewer than 4 seconds left is worth 1. A miss or a timeout scores zero and does not reveal the answer.
Double. The same correct answers pay 6, 4, or 2 points in the 4th quarter. A clean sweep, all three questions in a quarter correct, adds 1 bonus point in the first three quarters and 2 bonus points in the fourth.
